Solid State Relays

A Solid State Relay works with a voltage range of 3V to 32V DC supply and can handle higher amounts of currents than an electromagnetic relay. Also  since Solid State Relays provide very fast switching, they can work very efficiently with any programming devices such as microprocessors or PLC which produces digital signals or high-frequency signals.

Solid-state relays can be designed to switch both AC or DC currents by using a transistor output instead of the usual mechanical normally-open contacts.

Lastly Solid-state relays with a trigger output have a circuit that controls a triac trigger signal, which turns the load current ON and OFF.
