Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

An Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor is a type of capacitor that uses an electrolyte to achieve a larger capacitance than others such as ceramic or mica. An electrolyte is a liquid or gel containing a high concentration of ions. They are used as input buffers (when low voltage is present) and audio  filters.
